Senate Bill 755 SD2 HD2 is terrible policy for the State of Hawaii. This omnibus bill includes several bad ideas that personify an unprecedented assault on Hawaii’s environmental protection laws by the 2012 Hawaii State Legislature.

Oppose North Shore Landfill Siting

Earlier today it was announced that the top four landill sites are in Kahuku and Pupukea and the seventh on the list is in Laie.

There are many reasons to oppose these locations, but the number one reason must be that our highway infrastructure can’t possibly take any more traffic, especially hundreds of heavy vehicles.
